Christian Connection was back at the Greenbelt Festival at the end of August. Along with the usual social events and meetups, we arranged a special panel with the title “Has Online Dating changed everything?”

The leading dating industry news website, Global Dating Insights, caught up with Jackie Elton, Christian Connection founder.

Many Christians desire to find a life partner who shares their Christian faith. For some, this is rooted in Biblical teaching. This year we became a Greenbelt Associate, working with them to put together a programme of events together for single festival goers.

The recent upheavals last week at Spark Networks, operators of Christian Mingle and Jdate pose some important questions about niche dating sites. Stockholders voted out most of the existing board and signalled a change in direction.

Do the events there say anything more generally about the state of the niche dating model?
