The first information a prospective online date finds about you is your profile. So it’s really important that it’s well written to accurately portray who you are and what you’re about. Someone recovery or with a history of mental illness needs to think carefully about when the right time is to start looking for a partner and dating. I had been ill for a long time and I had been working hard on recovery when I thought I’d got to the point, I was not quite fully recovered but my illness did not define me anymore. I was happy being single but I wanted to investigate the world of dating to see if “the one” was out there for me.

A few weeks ago I received this email in response to a post I’d written.
