“We can see God’s grace and favour” – Christian Connection couples share their stories
From overcoming scepticism about online dating to the restrictions of long distance connections, even the greatest love stories can get off to a bumpy start! When #MetOnCC couples share their stories, they start from the first nervous wave, like or message through to proposals, weddings and their changed lives together. Be encouraged by their honesty, openness and faithfulness as each unique couple relives the journey from strangers who share a faith to spouses who share a future.
Here are some of the stories shared with Christian Connection recently.
Jody and Veronica
We were delighted to hear more of Jody and Veronica’s story – especially the way life has changed since they first met. Not one, but two additions to their family! Veronica recalls what led her to join Christian Connection: “I’m remember thinking, Oh, maybe this is one way to communicate with people, especially a Christian with Christian values. So this was the reason why I sign up, actually.”
Jody agrees: “Yeah, I was curious at that point. And [Christian Connection] sounded like a good website and a Christian dating website and had some good reviews…. And we met each other that way.”

Amy and Glenn
Amy had to overcome some scepticism before joining Christian Connection – but she only told us when she sent her wedding pictures! We’re so pleased she stepped out and signed up.
Amy says: “I was never a dating app kind of person. I didn’t like the idea of finding someone online and I was very skeptic. I’d been on CC for about a month earlier in 2021 but came off as it really wasn’t for me. Then one day in May 2021, something told me to go back on. So I did, but didn’t subscribe – 48 hours later I received a message, from the man I now call my husband. Glenn sent me his number straight away (ooops! 😂) as I couldn’t message back, but it took me 45 minutes to reply – call me cautious! When I sent that message back, it all just fell into place. I can’t describe it. I knew straight away God made me go back on to CC. So I felt I had to, and I’m so glad I listened.
When Glenn and I met on our first date, it was like we’d known each other for years – not days. The date lasted 6 hours! He’s my soul mate I’d been waiting to find. I never knew someone could make me so happy. I received the message from Glenn in May 2021, bought our first home in November 2022 and we became husband and wife in May 2023. We’re now excited to welcome the pitter patter of tiny baby feet – due February 2024! For anyone reading, all I would say is have Faith. Believe and trust in God. He will guide you to that one person you’re meant to be with. He certainly did with us, and we have CC to thank for that. So Thank You!”

Alison and Andy
Thankfully, social distancing didn’t get in the way of Alison and Andy’s connection.
Alison says: “Andy and I met on CC in late August 2020 during a COVID lockdown. Neither of us had been on the website for very long. I had seen him but not contacted him, but when he got in touch I thought, “Why not get to know him?”. We emailed each other for a few weeks and then had zoom dates – we were taking it quite slowly because we had both had bad relationship experiences in the past. Moreover, there was a pandemic so we were in and out of lockdown!
We eventually met in October 2020 and went on to date regularly, meeting up on Saturdays halfway between our homes in different places in the North York Moors. It was good to explore this beautiful area on our dates and we had some fantastic picnics and walks. We got engaged in October 2021 and married in April 2022. God has blessed us so much in giving us each other. Andy’s daughters have accepted me very warmly into the family and our relationship is going from strength to strength. We are both very thankful to Christian Connection for helping us to meet each other.”
Agape and Wayne
Agape and Wayne took time out from their lives as newlyweds to share their story and a lovely wedding pic!
“Wayne and I met on Christian Connection site in 2021. It’s been a blissful relationship. Everything has been falling in place for us. We met after going through relationships that broke us but thanks to God, we’ve seen each other grow in different aspects of our lives. Within a year of our relationship, we were able to buy a house together and recently tied the knot in September.”
