Angela & Shane

Shane and I met after I rejoined my old Christian singles Facebook group. I noticed a comment from a year old post and thought, "who is this random commenting on such an old post?"! I had only been on Christian Connection for a couple of weeks and as I was scrolling I noticed Shane's profile. His photo really showed who he is through his eyes and his smile! I like his profile too so I hit "wave". The next day I was out with my walking group having brunch and I received my first message from Shane (3 years ago today in fact). We chatted non stop for three weeks, we would talk about our children, Jesus, The Bible and our weird sense of humour was both a mutual thing!

We left it up to The Lord when and where we would first meet and 3 weeks after our first "hello" messages we finally met at a beach! It was a beautiful day and the moment we met couldn't have been anymore perfect! We had coffee in a cafe, walked along the beach, had lunch, went out for dessert before we said goodbye. We first met in November 2020 and on Australia Day 2021 on the jetty Shane proposed! We were married in the July 2021 on the beach in the middle of winter having faith during our planning that the weather would be great as we both "know a guy"!

The tips we would give is message each other for as long as possible before you meet and pray together about your first date. If reading each other's messages makes you laugh at your phone not caring who's around to see then you definitely need to meet!! We have now been married for two years and we know that with God all things are possible!!!
