Bee & Steve

In 2007 I adopted my beautiful daughter. Being a single mum meant that the evenings seemed long and lonely. Having tried a few Christian websites I stumbled across CC and decided to give it ago. I liked the fact that it was not just a dating site and that I was able to have adult discussions with people of all ages through the discussion boards. After being on the website for about 18 months I persuaded my sister to join as she was in a similar position. She decided to use the trial period and in the first few days of trying she met her now husband. To say that I was a little put out was an understatment, after being on the site for so long and not having much success in meeting that special person I decided to I would give CC a rest for a while and 'Any way,' I told my sister, 'I would need to find someone with the same surname as me as I don't want to have to change my daughter's name again!'
I had about a month left on my membership when I had an email through from Steve, I liked his profile and email and so messaged him back, I didn't hear anything for a week or two, so just put it down to experience. However, with about a fortnight to go before my membership expired, he replied back and from then on we messaged regularly. We decided to meet up for our first date despite being 160+ miles apart, we had a fabulous day and from then on we spoke to each other daily and despite the distance we met up as often as we could. Within a month we were engaged and after 5 months of meeting we got married. We had a fabulous day surrounded by family and friend and we have recently celebrated our 8th Wedding Anniversary, it feels like we have known each other forever. We have so many things to thank God (and CC) for. I am always amazed at what God hears and how he reponds, prayers I prayed years ago have been answered, God's timing is perfect and we just have to be patient.
Oh, and by the way Steve's surname was the same as mine!
