Catherine & Matthew

We met in March 2017 in a pub on the outskirts of Sheffield for a drink and hit it off immediately. Then we’ve been inseparable ever since!

Matthew proposed at the top of Ireland’s holy mountain (Croagh Patrick) when we climbed it on St. Patrick's Day 2018, a year after we first met. We married 6 months later and had a magical wedding.

We invited as many people as possible to spread the news of the gospel (250 guests). We were very fortunate that both our pastors were involved in the service. My pastor Tim led the service and did the vows. Matthew’s pastor Alan preached a fantastic sermon.

Both our church families and non-Christian friends attended. We are now both members of one church but still have close links with the other.

We didn’t live together before we got married and now we are fortunate to be in our beautiful new house and feeling very settled as we start our married life being supported by lots of mature Christians.
