Nick & Rose

A week after my 36th birthday Nick messaged me on CC. He lived locally, which was refreshing, but was originally from Lancashire like myself. He seemed very genuine and good fun. I replied, remaining wary of getting my hopes up after past disappointments.

We met for the first time in February and had a lovely evening. We eventually started dating in the April, after a day in Richmond Park. It was deeply refreshing to find someone I could really talk to, pray with and share life’s experiences. And a man who enjoys pottering around shops and galleries is a rare find…

Things happened quickly for us. In the September we got engaged and we married in April, almost a year after we got together. It was a wonderful service with lots of family and friends, and we released some doves afterwards!

I just want to encourage anyone who may be feeling disheartened to persevere – you don’t know who may turn up on this site!
