My husband, Jamie, and I met on Christian Connection in October of 2018. We had both tried online dating and it had not gone anywhere up until that point. I sent him a message and didn't think anything of it since he lived in a different city. He could not respond to me on the dating website as he was not subscribed but did his best to find me on Facebook. I was quite surprised he went through all that to find me. He later told me it took him about an hour to find me and that he was glad he did. We started chatting everyday since then and got to know each other a bit more such as our values, our life goals, our desire for a family etc. I mentioned that we lived far from each other, but Jamie wasn’t deterred and said we could make it work if we wanted to be together. That allowed us to open up more and know each other better. With time, he moved to my city where I am studying and we got engaged in December 2019 and then got married in March 2020 right before the country-wide lockdown was announced in New Zealand. We're grateful to have met on CC and enjoy sharing our story with others. We've been married a little over 1 year now and have grown so much as a couple thanks to God's grace. Thanks CC for creating a platform where Christian singles can meet.
