Rebecca & Rueben

After 5 years of singleness (recovering from a 20 year marriage that ended badly), I decided to give Christian Connection a go. I was a member for almost a year, and had gone on several first dates, but just hadn’t met ‘the one’. The final week of my membership, Rueben popped up as a new face and I contacted him. We spoke on the phone and met up for a breakfast date. We both felt such ease with each other and talked openly about our respective journeys and faith. Amazingly, Rueben only lived about 15 minutes away and after a few more dates, we knew there was something special. We were engaged after 18 months and got married 6 months later (at the beginning of this year.)

God’s timing is perfect and I know that Christian Connection was the tool He used to bring Rueben into my life. Even though it took time, it was worth the wait and I encourage others to keep going on those first dates and don’t compromise your values and preferences. Be vulnerable and honest, share your story, and you may very well meet your forever man or woman. I’m so blessed to have found mine.
