Tim & Wendy

After having a membership on CC on and off for about 7 years and meeting some lovely people (including having a couple of relationships), in March 2014 Tim's profile appeared on CC. He waved at me after I had favourited him based on his profile information.

We exchanged a few emails and chose to meet up quite quickly. Tim got a sense straight away that we would one day marry, though it took me slightly longer to come to the same conclusion. After a few meetings we agreed to sign up to a bible study course together and it was during that time of learning and fellowship that I came to know that Tim was 'the one'! Our children were introduced to one another quite quickly and got on like a house on fire.

In July of 2014 Tim proposed and we set about planning our wedding and future together. We married this Pentecost Sunday May 24th in a beautiful ceremony which included communion, at our family church. We shared the day with 150 family and friends who had supported, loved and prayed for us across some hard times in our past, us both having experienced difficult divorces. There wasn't a dry eye in the church as we made our vows before God.

My number 1 tip for those seeking a Christian relationship would be patience and perseverance. Don't give up. It's not always easy and it took me 7 years to find God's choice for me but I held on to His promises and trusted that he had the best out there for me somewhere - and He was right!

Tim's number 1 tip would be to be honest and be yourself, don't try to be something your not.
