We were both a little apprehensive about online dating but we felt to give it a go, to open our horizons a bit! Little did we know that we would meet the love of our lives on Christian Connection. We both had a couple of dates with other people on there, which didn’t eventuate. It’s all part of the process, in taking steps towards meeting someone and gaining confidence in this area. We have both been quite burnt by relationships in the past, and confidence in dating was definitely an issue for both of us.
We started talking to each other in late December 2017. Our first date was January 2018, which was a relaxed and enjoyable evening with lots of conversation and discovering that we had a lot in common (including our church! - we were both based at two different campuses). The second date took things to a romantic level, and from then onwards we can only describe it as a natural profession into love over time.
In June of 2018, Josh got down on one knee on top of a cruise ship while sailing under the harbour bridge. We exchanged vows for life in May 2019 at the incredible Gledswood Homestead and Winery in Sydney and are now in Bali on what has been the most incredible honeymoon.
We are deeply thankful to Christian Connection. Though we had mutual friends, we may never have met if it wasn’t for you! We are now passionate advocates for online dating, especially Christian Connection, and our story has been of great encouragement to many singles around us who are still waiting to meet their forever person.
